Everybody thinks that Wu Tang Clan came up with the acronym C.R.E.A.M (Cash Rules Everything Around Me). Well, those people would be wrong. You see, in the early 1900's when Five and Dime stores were popping up all over the country, every store had something in common, they each needed a cash register. Eddie Swanson was head of the marketing department of a register manufacturer start up. Tired of the "Cha-Ching" pitch that the team was running with, he took things into his own hands and came up with the ultimate acronym "C.R.E.A.M." and catch phrase that would still be popular over a hundred years later. The C.R.E.A.M. phrase would go onto be a hit with possible register customers, and would put Eddie Swanson on the map of register marketing genius. Oh, and Wu Tang is for the children.
